London Fog
A London Fog is an elegant, yet simple beverage that’s a favourite around the world. Despite its name, it’s actually said to be a Canadian invention! This tea latte is made with a British-style black tea blend called Earl Grey (that’s the “London” part), combined with dairy (the “fog”), and a touch of sugar. The result is a creamy, gorgeously aromatic drink. While there are several ways to prepare it, we recommend steeping the tea directly in steamed or heated milk to amp-up its silky, rich flavour. Try crafting this future morning favourite by using Farm Boy™ Earl Grey Black Tea. With sweet, floral notes, it’s made with premium-quality black tea leaves and is free of artificial flavours.

Congee – China
Congee is a popular rice porridge dish that’s a staple in many parts of Asia. Hearty and comforting, it’s versatile vehicle for a variety of toppings—from grilled meats and fresh herbs to pickled vegetables, chili crisp, and beyond. You can quickly whip up your own version using cooked rice, or make it from scratch in under an hour with uncooked rice, water or broth, and aromatics like ginger and garlic. Serve the congee in a bowl and garnish with sliced green onions, sesame chili oil, cracked black pepper, a splash of vinegar, and a drizzle of soy sauce. For added protein, consider topping it with a fried egg, mixing in cooked chicken, or serving it alongside stir-fried pork.
Ingredients
With cooked rice:
- 1 cup of cooked rice (Farm Boy™ Organic Jasmine Rice Side Dish works well)
- 1 ½ cups of water (or broth)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 slice of ginger (small piece)
- Pinch of salt & pepper
With uncooked rice:
- 1 cup rice
- 7 cups of water
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 slices of ginger (approximately 1-inch pieces)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
Toppings and sides:
- Chili crisp
- Sesame oil
- Sliced green onions
- Vinegar (dark or any)
- Fried egg
- Farm Boy™ BBQ Chicken
- Pickled Greens (Chinese-style mustard greens)
- Soy sauce
Instructions
- On the stovetop, bring your water or liquid of choice to a rapid boil, and add your aromatics and rice.
- Lower heat to a simmer and add your seasonings.
- Continuously stir and cook until you reach a soupy, rice pudding-like consistency and the rice is soft and tender.
- Plate and garnish.

Cornetto E Cappuccino – Italy
Few things are as simple and satisfying as coffee paired with a scrumptious pastry. In Italy, many begin their day with a full-bodied cappuccino crowned with thick, creamy foam and a cornetto—a close cousin of the croissant. Also known as brioche in some Italian regions, cornetto means “little horn”, a nod to its crescent, horn-like shape. Sweeter than its French counterpart and with a more bread-like texture thanks to the inclusion of eggs, this pastry is typically available plain or filled with chocolate, custards, or jams.
Enjoy our take on this classic duo by pairing your cappuccino—made with espresso, steamed milk, and frothed milk—with our decadent selection of Cruffies! Crafted fresh daily in our Bake Shop, these croissant-meets-muffin favourites have a cornetto-like texture and are filled with luscious custards or curds.

Wheat Dosa with Dahl – India
Spice up your morning breakfast with a savoury lentil stew known as dahl and a crispy crepe-like dosa wrap. Proudly prepared in Ontario, our Indian-Style Dahl is crafted with simple, wholesome ingredients like chillies, ginger, lentils, spinach, tamarind, and aromatic spices. Enjoy this convenient plant-based dish with a side of Farm Boy™ Garlic Naan or a homemade dosa!
Wheat Dosa Recipe
Ingredients
Instructions
- 1 cup wheat flour
- ½ cup Farm Boy™ Brown Rice Flour
- 1 tsp Farm Boy™ Whole Cumin
- ½ tsp Farm Boy™ Organic Mild Curry Powder
- 1 Tbsp Farm Boy™ 0% M.F. Organic Plain Greek Yogurt
- 1-2 pinches of salt
- 2-3 cups water
- Neutral oil, olive oil, or ghee
- Combine flour, yogurt, and salt.
- Slowly mix in water until it reaches a loose consistency.
- Add spices and stir.
- On medium heat in an oiled tawa, crêpe pan, or skillet, pour just enough batter to cover the surface. You will see the batter spread like water and form holes.
- Once the top of the dosa is solid, drizzle some oil over the top of the dosa and along the edges to allow it to get crispy on the bottom. If the pan is too hot, turn the heat low and allow the dosa to crisp up.
- Remove the dosa, fold in half, and repeat.
Note: The dosa batter should be quite watery. Once cooked, your dosa should be thin with a crispy texture on the bottom and tender on the top.
