Maple Peameal Bacon Breakfast Sandwich

We are all about breakfast sandwiches, and on that topic, what could be more Canadian than a sandwich featuring Farm Boy™ Amber Maple Syrup and Farm Boy™ Peameal-Style Sliced Bacon? We have put them together in this epic breakfast sammie – you may require a knife and fork, but it will be delicious!

Our peameal bacon cooks quickly and adding maple syrup to it gives it a sweetness that complements it very nicely. Add some Farm Boy™ Organic Marble Cheddar, a fried egg with a runny yolk, fresh lettuce, and tomato on a brioche bun smeared with Farm Boy™ Dijon Mayonnaise and you’ll be off to a great start off your day!

Directions

  1. In medium frying pan, heat 1 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Canola Oil over medium heat and cook Farm Boy™ Peameal-Style Sliced Bacon, about 2-3 minutes per side, until it starts to brown.
  2. Drizzle in Farm Boy™ Amber Maple Syrup and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Place slices of Farm Boy™ Organic Marble Cheddar Cheese over peameal bacon and let it melt.
  4. In a separate skillet, fry eggs to your desired doneness.
  5. Spread Farm Boy™ Dijon Mayonnaise on both sides of toasted Farm Boy™ Brioche Hamburger Buns.
  6. Place lettuce on the bottom buns and top with bacon, tomato slices, and egg.
  7. Serve immediately.

  • 4 slices Farm Boy™ Peameal Style Sliced Bacon (500 g)
  • 2 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Amber Maple Syrup (250 ml)
  • 2 slices Farm Boy™ Organic Marble Cheddar Cheese (200 g)
  • 2 eggs fried
  • 2 Farm Boy™ Plain Brioche Hamburger Buns (4 x 57g) toasted
  • 4 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Dijon Mayonnaise
  • 4 slices vine ripe tomato
  • 2 leaves leaf lettuce
