Recipe Round-Up: Top 5 Maple Recipes

We’re such saps for maple season! Did you know that in Canada, we actually have a maple syrup reserve? It can hold 55 million pounds of maple syrup (or about 94,000 barrels at 205 litres apiece)! Due to the shortage of this liquid gold this past December, we actually had to tap into our stockpile to help the rest of the world out! With that in mind, we figured we’d show our Farm Boy fam how to best incorporate that sweet stuff beyond your standard pancakes and waffles (although we love those, too!).

Looking to take it on the go? Try building it in a mason jar for portability!

Maple Pouding Chômeur

Maple Pouding Chomeur

Fun fact: pouding chômeur was actually created by female factory workers during the Great Depression in Québec when ingredients were scarce. Now, of course, it’s become a staple of Québécois cuisine and really hits its stride during maple season – which is right now! This self-saucing dessert uses our pantry staple of Premium Buttermilk Pancake Mix, which makes it easy for beginner bakers. Try it with a scoop of ice cream on top when they’re fresh out of the oven.
