Berry Delicious: Summer Berry Recipe Roundup

Categories: Recipe Roundup, Summer

Summer is produce season and some of our favourites include those vibrant summer berries! Tart raspberries, juicy strawberries, sweet blackberries, and tiny blueberries reach their peak during these months and we want to take full advantage! Our stores are bursting with farm-fresh, Canadian-grown berries that get us hungry for summer, and these 5 easy recipes will show you how to make the most of them!

Strawberry Mojito Kombucha Cocktail

Our small-batch artisan-brewed Organic Canadian Berry Kombucha is the vehicle to carry all that berry freshness in this mocktail. While we opted for strawberries in this recipe, you can get creative with whatever berry you fancy! Might we also suggest our Raspberry Lemongrass Kombucha with fresh raspberries or Ginger Kombucha with blueberries!

Savoury Dark Berry Compote

Berries are delicious in desserts, but if you’re not enjoying them in a savoury way, you’re missing out! This compote becomes a unique condiment that can be added to any charcuterie board, used as a sauce for grilled pork, or as a topping on a burger! We recommend spooning it over our Triple Cream Brie atop our Rosemary Baguette Crisps!

Very Berry Fruit Salsa

A little sweet and a little spicy, this salsa will definitely get people talking at your summer BBQ! Made with fresh strawberries and blueberries, this dip enjoys a kick from the addition of minced jalapeño pepper! Not into spicy? Go the sweet route by using the fruits, lime juice, and honey! Enjoy the spicy version scooped up with our Lime Tortilla Chips or the sweet style with our Sugar Cinnamon Crisps!

Sparkling Strawberry Ice Cream Float

As pretty as it is refreshing, this drinkable dessert gives the nostalgic ice cream float a fruity twist! Made with our Vanilla Ice Cream and Lemon Sparkling Beverage, this layered treat is a cool way to enjoy summer strawberries.

Macerated Berries & Cream

Macerating berries is a technique that involves soaking berries in sugar and juice to really bring out their flavour. The best summer desserts are the effortless ones that don’t have you sweating over a hot stove. This recipe uses our favourite Lemon Thyme Loaf Cake and your choice of berries for a simple stunner.
