Feed The Dream: Great Achievements Start with Strong Roots

At Farm Boy, we believe every big dream—whether feeding a family, nurturing a community, or inspiring a future champion—begins with strong roots. We are proud to be the official grocer of Team Canada for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. That’s why we’re also thrilled to announce our inaugural participation in the Feed The Dream campaign. Launched by Empire Company in 2021, Feed The Dream celebrates family, community, and the importance of proper nutrition in reaching athletic dreams. Farm Boy is proud to build on Empire’s legacy of supporting athletes while bringing “A Farm Boy Fresh Twist” to Team Canada and Ontario’s youth.

Just like the first seeds planted in a farmer’s field, great achievements start simple: with nourishment, with attention, and with care. From our humble beginnings as a small produce store in Cornwall in 1981 to the fresh-market experience thousands of customers trust every day—we’ve grown firmly rooted in a belief: good food, fresh ingredients, and community spirit make life better together.

Feed The Dream is our way of investing in real people, real communities, and real dreams.

Why Feed the Dream Matters to Us

Food & Nutrition

We believe access to wholesome, fresh food and nutrition is a basic building block for healthy lives. Through Feed The Dream, we’re reaffirming our commitment to nourishing individuals and families—because a healthy start can nurture a lifetime of success.

Children & Youth

The next generation deserves the chance to dream big and grow strong. That’s why our campaign puts special emphasis on supporting youth—helping ensure that children have the nourishment, support, and opportunities they deserve to thrive.

Community & Experiences

We’ve always believed groceries are more than just products on a shelf — they’re a vital thread connecting families, neighbours, and communities. Feed The Dream aims to strengthen those connections by supporting initiatives that bring people together and help dreams grow.

Feed The Dream is simply another chapter in our ongoing journey to create positive impact through the power of good food, community, and care.

Introducing the Farm Boy Feed The Dream Grant

As part of this campaign, we are launching the Farm Boy Feed The Dream Grant—a new initiative designed to help Ontario’s youth get one step closer to achieving their sporting dreams. The grant will provide the two successful applicants (as well as their families) with funding to purchase groceries and contribute to any other costs associated with their sport.

Ontarians are invited to nominate young athletes in their communities for a chance to win one of two grants valued at $10,000 each. We ask you to share their story and showcase their unwavering dedication to and passion for sport and community. Applications for the Farm Boy Feed The Dream Grant will be open from January 8 to February 15, 2026. Apply today on the Farm Boy website.

Meet Our Team Canada Athletes

Just as our stores deliver fresh produce and wholesome meals, our Team Canada athletes Ivanie Blondin and Renata Fast are champions of dedication, passion, and community spirit. Through Feed The Dream, we’re celebrating not only elite athletic achievements, but the everyday victories: growing healthy habits, lifting up neighbours, and giving back.

Be sure to check out the profiles of Ivanie Blondin, Team Canada Speed Skater, and Renata Fast, Team Canada Hockey Team, as well as our social media channels for more exciting updates.

Ivanie and Renata remind us that strength begins at the roots—and with the right nourishment and support, dreams of greatness can grow strong. Their stories are as much about perseverance, discipline, and community pride as they are about medals and podiums.
