Tangy Avocado Hummus

Two of our favourite summer snacks are hummus and guacamole, so we put some of their ingredients together to make one amazing dish! We took what makes guacamole creamy, spicy, herbaceous, and tangy and mixed it with our Authentic Lebanese Hummus. Crunchy pumpkin seeds and our Everything Bagel Seasoning Blend add a little something extra.

This dip is delicious with pita crackers or tortilla chips, but also doubles as a wholesome spread on your favourite bagel or bread.

A note on the spice level of this hummus: if you like things hot, do not remove the seeds from the jalapeño. Spicy or mild, we hope you like this as much as we do!

Directions

  1. In food processor bowl place hummus, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño chili, lime juice.
  2. Process until smooth and while the motor is running, drizzle in 2 Tbsp olive oil.
  3. Add salt to taste.
  4. Place in bowl, drizzle with olive oil and garnish with pumpkin seeds and bagel seasoning blend.
  5. Serve with pita crackers.

  • 1 package Farm Boy™ Authentic Lebanese Hummus (300 g)
  • 1 large avocado peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup cilantro chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 1 small Jalapeño seeded and chopped
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 2 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Portuguese Extra Virgin Olive Oil (500 ml) plus more for garnish
  • salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp Roasted Salted Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Farm Boy™ Everything Bagel Seasoning Blend
  • Farm Boy™ Double Baked Pita Crackers (170 g)
