Ground Beef Taco Bowl

Directions

  1. In large frying pan heat oil and cook beef, breaking up clumps, until no longer pink.
  2. Add onion and garlic flowers and cook until onion is soft.
  3. Add tomato paste, taco seasoning and water and cook until most of the liquid evaporates.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. In 4 bowls, mound beef, rice, black beans, corn and tomatoes.
  6. Garnish with sour cream, salsa, cheddar cheese, green onions and cilantro.
  7. Serve with guacamole and tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 650 g extra lean ground beef (or chicken/turkey if you prefer)
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 tsp Farm Boy™ Garlic Flowers (190 ml)
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 tsp Farm Boy™ Taco Seasoning (65 g)
  • 1 cup water
  • Farm Boy™ Fleur de Sel and pepper to taste
  • For assembling the bowls:
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 1 can Farm Boy™ Organic Black Beans (398 ml) rinsed
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup Farm Boy™ 18% Sour Cream (500 mL)
  • 1/2 cup Farm Boy™ Fresh Salsa
  • cilantro leaves for garnish
  • 1 cup Farm Boy™ Guacamole
  • Farm Boy™ Tortilla Chips
