Farm Boy™ deepens roots in London with two new stores and funding for nutrition education

New community partnership and more local products in store for London customers.

Farm Boy today announced plans to open two new fresh market stores in London, to be located at 109 Fanshawe Park Road East (“Masonville”) and 1415 Beaverbrook Avenue (“Beaverbrook”). The new stores will create 260 new jobs for the region when they open in the spring of 2015.

The announcement took place earlier today during a Local Vendor Fair held at the company’s Wellington Street location (London). There, Farm Boy buyers met with local growers and producers in an effort to expand the store’s already impressive selection of over 40 unique and tasty locally made products.

The addition of two new stores in the community will bring even more Londoners quick, convenient access to the same fresh, local shopping experience that has earned Farm Boy legions of loyal customers across Ontario: abundant varieties of fresh produce, natural and organic foods, and unique specialty items, including artisanal farmstead cheese, butcher-quality fresh meats, sustainable fresh seafood and its popular and extensive line of private label products.

The 23,000 square-foot Masonville store and the 28,000 square-foot Beaverbrook location will mark Farm Boy’s 16th and 17th fresh market stores in Ontario.
