Country: Germany

The images shows six pork sausages on a black plate. Below the sausages is a bed of sauerkraut. Sprigs of fresh herbs sit atop the sausages.

When you think of Germany and barbecue, you probably think of sausages. While the country didn’t invent the sausage, they have certainly done a lot of work to perfect it! This BBQ menu features classic German-inspired grill staples, like sausages, potato salad, and cabbage salad, for a dinner that’ll delight everyone.

On the BBQ Menu:

Main: Farm Boy™ German Bratwurst Sausage with Farm Boy™ Pub Style Mustard

A natural choice for a German-style barbecue is our Bratwurst Sausage. Made fresh by us, this blend of pork and traditional spices is best cooked on the grill until slightly charred for extra flavour. Serve it with our Pub Style Mustard: a slightly tangy, slightly spicy classic condiment that’s this sausage’s BFF.

Sides: Farm Boy™ Red Cabbage Salad with Apples

Choose a delicious sweet and sour salad for a BBQ side. Made in the Polish tradition, this coleslaw-inspired dish features grated red cabbage and apple. Its refreshing, tangy flavour cuts through salty sausage beautifully.

Potato Salad

Hearty meat and potatoes get a BBQ twist when you pair potato salad with our Bratwurst. You could choose an egg-based potato salad recipe, which is rich and creamy, or go the extra authentic mile with a German potato salad. The difference between the two is that German potato salad is usually served warm and has a tangy, slightly sweet vinaigrette. Either one would be delicious!

A classic Dutch dessert, stroopwafels are thin waffle cookies with a layer of sweet caramel between them. While we have a Mini version for snacking, our Waffle Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches are perfect for a summer BBQ dessert. Rich vanilla ice cream is tucked between two stroopwafels and is available in flavours like Chocolate, Dulce de Leche, and Lemon.

Country: Korea

The images shows a slate dish piled high with grilled marinated strips of beef for beef bulgogi. They are garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

The convenient thing about Korean BBQ is that you don’t need an outdoor grill to enjoy it! For apartment-dwellers or those who are craving a taste of summer when the weather isn’t cooperating, this indoor-friendly BBQ menu is an excellent choice.

On the BBQ Menu:

Main: Marinated Beef Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps

To make your own bulgogi, create a sweet soy and sesame marinade for thin slices of steak. Combine 5 Tbsp soy sauce, 2 Tbsp brown sugar, 2 Tbsp minced garlic, 2 Tbsp sesame oil, 3 cloves of minced garlic, 2 sliced green onions, and 1 Tbsp fresh ginger in a bowl or resealable bag. Marinate your thinly sliced steak in this sauce for at least 2 hours, but ideally overnight. When it’s time to cook, lay your steak slices in a pan drizzled with vegetable oil over medium-high heat, flipping once until they’re cooked through. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Sides: Farm Boy™ Organic Kimchi and Scallion Salad

Add bright, sharp flavour to the sweet and salty beef bulgogi with this simple Korean salad. Thinly slice two bunches of green onions and soak them in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain and mix with half a container of our Organic Kimchi. You can serve this salad in lettuce wraps or just have it available on the side.

Grilled Mushrooms and Onions

Drizzle cremini mushrooms and sliced onions with canola or vegetable oil and add them to a grill or sauté pan. Cook them until soft and the onions are beginning to caramelize and offer them as an accompaniment to your beef bulgogi.

Dessert: Farm Boy™ Mango Sorbet Floats

Mango is a hugely popular fruit and flavour in Southeast Asian cuisine. To complete your Korean-inspired BBQ menu, whip up some mango sorbet floats! For however many guests you have, add two scoops of Farm Boy™ Mango Sorbet to each glass. Top with our Lime Sparkling Lemonade and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

Country: Spain

The image is a tight shot on a black bowl filled with chunks of potato and cooked octopus. The dish is sprinkled with fresh parsley and there is a wedge of lemon on the right side of the bowl.

Known as asado or parrilla, Spanish barbecue embraces what’s in season and locally available. Flavoured simply and grilled to perfection, this BBQ menu is all about showcasing the quality of the ingredients, with a particular emphasis on grilled seafood.

On the BBQ Menu:

Main: Cooked Octopus and Potatoes

Try something new and exotic with this grilled seafood recipe. First, prepare the potatoes by cutting three Yukon Gold potatoes into 1” pieces and drizzling them with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Wrap them in aluminum foil and cook on the barbecue for 25 minutes, flipping them occasionally, until the potatoes are cooked through.

For the octopus, place the pre-cooked octopus on the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until heated through. (You don’t want to cook the octopus for too long, or else it can get rubbery.) Remove it from the grill and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Place it on top of the warmed potatoes, garnish with parsley, a sprinkle of Farm Boy™ Fleur de Sel, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and enjoy!

Side: Farm Boy™ Garden Fresh Gazpacho

A deliciously fresh soup for summer! Made from scratch in our kitchen with tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic, green peppers, red onions, parsley, and a touch of spice, it’s best served chilled on a warm day. Finish it with a drizzle of good olive oil.

Dessert: Farm Boy™ Dulce de Leche Pie

A Latin American treat, we love the indulgent, decadent flavours of this pie. Made with a chocolate cookie base, it has a luscious caramel filling and a topping of sweet white chocolate. Serve chilled for a melt-in-your-mouth experience.
