Savour the season with our Glazed Holiday Tofu Roast – a savoury, plant-based centerpiece that adds a festive twist to your celebrations. Perfectly spiced and glazed for a delicious holiday meal without the fuss.

Directions

  1. The day before you want to eat the tofu roast, open the tofu, drain liquid, and then press it to rid of excess brine. Wrap it in a dry towel and stack some heavy pans/objects on top to press out moisture.
  2. For the marinade: In medium bowl, combine Farm Boy™ Extra Virgin Olive Oil, soy sauce, Farm Boy™ Golden Maple Syrup, dark brown sugar, Farm Boy™ Garlic Flowers, and Farm Boy™ Mesquite Seasoning.
  3. Place tofu in a resealable plastic bag and cover with marinade. Marinate for a minimum of 24 hours.
  4. When you’re ready to bake, preheat the oven to 375°F, and line a baking dish with parchment paper. Remove tofu from fridge.
  5. On the bottom of your baking dish, place your orange slices and garlic. Place tofu on top.
  6. Score the top of the tofu in a diamond pattern.
  7. Decorate each intersection with Farm Boy™ Whole Cloves.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until cooked thoroughly with some caramelized edges.
  9. While the tofu is baking, make your glaze.
  10. For the glaze: In a pan, combine bourbon or rum, orange zest, Farm Boy™ Orange Juice, dark brown sugar, Farm Boy™ Organic Chili Peppers, Farm Boy™ Peach Jam, ginger, salt, Farm Boy™ Organic Paprika, and black pepper. Cook on medium heat and allow to thicken while stirring constantly.
  11. Take tofu out of the oven and pour your glaze over the tofu.
  12. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until caramelized.
  13. Slice, plate, and enjoy!

  • 20 oz extra-firm tofu 2 packages
  • 2 oranges sliced
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • Farm Boy™ Whole Cloves (24 g)
  • Marinade
  • 1/2 cup Farm Boy™ Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1 L)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Golden Maple Syrup (500 ml)
  • 4 Tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Garlic Flowers (190 ml)
  • 2 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Mesquite Seasoning (155 g)
  • Glaze
  • 3 Tbsp bourbon or rum
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest
  • 1 cup Farm Boy™ Orange Juice (946 ml)
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp dark bown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Farm Boy™ Organic Chili Peppers (23 g)
  • 4 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Peach Jam (250 ml)
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger optional
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Farm Boy™ Organic Paprika (48 g)
  • 2 pinches ground black pepper
