Updated August 2024
Pork tenderloin lends itself very nicely to flavourful marinades, and our combination of Farm Boy™ Piri Piri Seasoning with Farm Boy™ Peri Peri Grilling Sauce packs a punch!
This tenderloin is very easy to make – marinate overnight in the fridge for the most flavour, then grill just before dinner. It is a quick and versatile dish that makes a great entrée, and if there are leftovers, slice thinly and make sandwiches for lunch or your next picnic.
Tip: When prepping tenderloins, we like to remove the tips, since they tend to overcook on the grill. Save those to make a stir-fry or some quick tacos.
Ingredients
- 2 pork tenderloins cleaned and trimmed
- 1 1/2 - 2 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Piri Piri Seasoning
- 1 lemon zest and juice
- 1 Tbsp Farm Boy™ Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup Farm Boy™ Peri Peri Grilling Sauce
Directions
- Using a small sharp knife, remove all silver skin from tenderloin. Trim tip and reserve for another use.
- In resealable plastic bag, combine Farm Boy™ Piri Piri Seasoning, lemon zest and juice, and Farm Boy™ Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
- Add tenderloin and make sure it is covered with marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or up to overnight.
- Remove tenderloin from marinade and let rest at room temperature while you prepare the grill.
- Preheat the grill over medium heat until temperature reaches 500°F, then lower dials to medium-high. Lightly grease grates and grill tenderloin for 1-1/2 - 2 minutes per side, closing the lid between flips.
- Cook tenderloin for 12-15 minutes total, depending on size, until internal temperature reaches 155°F. During the last 5 minutes, brush tenderloin with Farm Boy™ Peri Peri Grilling Sauce.
- Remove tenderloin from grill and place on tray. Tent loosely with foil and let rest for 10 minutes. Carry over temperature will increase to 160°F.
- Slice and serve.
