  1. After making airholes in the squash, place it in the microwave for 10 minutes on high for ease in cleaning.
  2. Cut squash in half. Remove seeds.
  3. Cook in microwave 5 more minutes until inside is soft.
  4. Peel the squash. Cube an onion. Peel the pear and cut into small pieces. Add the fresh ginger.
  5. Place the ingredients in a pot and cover with water. Boil on medium until cooked approx. 20 minutes Drain the water.
  6. Remove the ginger. Place the cooked ingredients in a blender or cuisinart until a fine thick paste. Place back on the stove and simmer with the can of consomme for 15 minutes!
