  1. Preheat oven to 450⁰F. Rub the turkey with a little butter or Farm Boy™ Olive Oil and place in oven.
  2. Reduce heat to 350⁰F. The general rule for cooking is 13 minutes per pound. Basting every 45 minutes means delicious results. Bonus points for brushing on some more melted butter when you do! After it’s cooked, give it a rest.
  3. Let it sit about 20-30 minutes before carving for maximum flavour and juiciness.
Recipe Notes

How much turkey do you need? The rule of thumb is a pound per person, plus extra if you like leftovers. For example if there are eight people around the diiner table get a 12lb turkey.
