Farm Boy™ is set to host another local food fair on October 28th to connect with local growers and producers. Following the success of previous vendor fairs, Farm Boy is reaching out once again to Ottawa and surrounding area producers to pitch their products to Farm Boybuyers at their Train Yards store located at 665 Industrial Avenue.

Shoppers at Farm Boy Eastern Ontario stores will soon have an even greater selection of tasty, fresh and delicious local products from which to choose. The addition of new local products on the shelves of the fresh market retailer is also expected to assist local processors in expanding their markets and help grow the local food sector.

Farm Boy, which opened its doors in Cornwall in 1981, already carries an array of fresh and tasty foods from over 40 local vendors, including Auntie Loo’s Treats, Enerjive and Foster’s Family Farm. “Our customers are always looking for new local products,” said Jeff York, President and CEO, Farm Boy. “By adding more local foods to our shelves, we are not only meeting their expectations for fresh locally produced foods, but also helping the local food industry reach more customers. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

Farm Boy buyers are looking to meet with vendors who can showcase unique products such as natural and organic produce and meat, delicious artisanal foods made in small batches, and fresh bakery and dairy items.
