Farm Boy’s 40th location and 2nd location in Oakville
Ottawa, ON (June 9th, 2021) – Ontario’s fastest-growing local fresh food retailer, Farm Boy, announced today it will be opening its 40th fresh market location on June 24th, 2021 in Oakville.
“We are so pleased to be opening our second location in Oakville,” said Jean-Louis Bellemare, President and General Manager, Farm Boy. “Customers visiting the new Bronte store can expect a true fresh market shopping experience along with exceptional customer service.”
Located at 2441 Lakeshore Road West, the 29,908 sq. ft. location will employ 135 people in the community. The store’s infamous selection of farm-fresh produce, butcher quality meat, and hundreds of Farm Boy private label grocery items will complement the convenient and nutritious grab-and-go options. Farm Boy currently operates 39 locations in Ontario and will open three new locations by the end of 2021.
As of June 1st, Farm Boy has removed single-use plastic grocery bags from all stores and continues to take steps to better care for the environment by reducing wasteful single-use plastics such as cutlery, straws, and some food containers. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own reusable shopping bags, or purchase from Farm Boy’s wide selection of reusable and eco-friendly options in-store, which cashiers will happily help pack.
