This front-line position contributes to the coordinated efforts of preparing and presenting a high quality, Farm Boy shopping experience to all our customers.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Provide superior customer service in the spirit of Farm Boy’s mission statement and observe all front-end policies and procedures;

2. Welcome, greet customers and offer assistance as needed;

3. Handle customer complaints according to Farm Boy’s policies;

4. Process the customer’s purchases, enter proper prices, codes and weights into the cash register; collect the accurate tenders and coupons; bag or box the purchased items;

5. Be responsible for all tenders received and all balancing procedures within a range of a total of five dollars;

6. Keep the work and storage areas clean and safe at all times and keep the retail area faultless by keeping counters, display glass and equipment immaculate and performing general “housekeeping” as required;

7. Work as a team member lending support and assistance to fellow employees;

8. Report immediately any anomalies in pricing to the appropriate department personnel for correction;

9. Comply with all health and safety standards and procedures, especially as they relate to equipment use and customer safety;

10. Accept the responsibility for designated opening and closing procedures as may be directed by the Department Manager or Assistant Manager;

11. Assist and relieve other members as may be requested by the Department Manager or designate.
