POSITION SUMMARY:

This front-line position contributes to the coordinated efforts of preparing and presenting a high quality, Farm Boy shopping experience to all our customers.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Provide superior customer service to all in the spirit of Farm Boy’s mission statement;

2. Welcome, greet customers and offer assistance as needed;

3. Handle customer complaints according to Farm Boy’s policies;

4. Stock display counters or shelves in keeping with high standards of presentation and ensure that the counters are fully stocked, organized, and properly culled at all times;

5. Ensure that the product is identified by a clean sign stating correct description and price;

6. Ensure proper stock rotation of all assigned items in the department and ensure excellent quality and value of all merchandise;

7. Keep the work and storage areas clean and safe at all times and keep the retail area faultless by keeping counters, display glass and equipment immaculate and performing general “housekeeping” as required;

8. Work as a team member lending support and assistance to fellow employees;

9. Assist in the performance of inventory-taking and recommend, when appropriate, the ordering of merchandise and supplies to the Department Manager;

10. Comply with all health and safety standards and procedures, especially as they relate to equipment use and customer safety;

11. Accept the responsibility for designated opening and closing procedures as may be directed by the Department Manager;

12. Assist and relieve other members as may be requested by the Department Manager or designate.
